Setting up a Budget is easy, well that is what we think... so if you are having trouble using the feature, let us know and we'll make things friendlier!

To set up a Budget:
1. Once you are logged in, go to Budget from the 'My Account' menu at the top
2. Click the green plus icon to create a new budget
3. In the Create Budget form, key in a Name, Description (optional) and your Total Budget Amount. The Total Budget Amount is how much you can spend each month, so for most people this is the net pay or for people who want to make things more complicated, it could be the amount allocated for a specific budget.
4. Click the Split button next to the Total Budget Amount and this split the amount into all the listed categories (like Housing, Transportation, Food, etc). Most people won't need any more categories, but you can add more if required.
5. The amounts in each categories are based on averages, you can change these to suit your life style and cost of living, etc.
6. You can make a budget your Primary Budget... and in theory most people will need only one budget. Check the check box that says Primary Budget, once done, the categories in this Primary Budget are displayed as Spending Categories when you record an expense. If you don't have a Primary Budget, we just show you the default Spending Categories.
6. Click Save
And you have a Budget.

With a budget you can plan your spending and check from time to time if you are spending more money that you should.

To check your budget:
1. Once you are logged in, go to Budget from the 'My Account' menu at the top
2. Click the list icon to list your budgets
3. Click the magnifying glass icon to View the Budget
And we show your budget mashed up with your actual spending from the expenses you record.

We will soon add a tutorial or slide show explaining this feature.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
